Unhappy Help Beer in Trunk

I picked up some beer and put it in the trunk. When I got home I found out the it tipped over and one of the bottles popped open. Now I have a wet carpet. What is the best way to clean up and get rid of the smell.

immediately. go to the grocery store and rent a "rugdoctor".

You need to make sure that the beer didn't get under the carpet and mess up control modules.

Matt's idea is a good one, I would do that unless you have a proper wet/dry vac already.

Well with any liquid the most important thing is to get it all out asap. If he wet/dry's, as he indicated was done, then he probably won't need a deodorizer. If the mat still smells like beer when it's dry, then baking soda would be a good first choice for deodorizing.
