Spray on clear bra?
I was talking to a guy who does a spray on clear bra. He says it much better than the 3M bra and much harder to see. He said you could try to key the car where the bra is and it won't make a mark. But he wouldn't tell me who makes this stuff so I could look it up on the web. Anyone hear about anything like that before? Thoughts?

Holly crap what a coincidence. I was just reminding my self to post the spray on clear bra question. Then I seen this thread. The other day i was looking at car care stuff and came across this. I did google searches on it and it seems people heard of it but haven't really used their selves to make detailed comments. I am sure its nothing like a real clear bra (could be straight crap) but it may have its benefits as a short term solution. Like long road travels or just on small areas of the car. Maybe good just to keep in the trunk for emergency's like when you go on vacation and find your self down south in some town called east bubble fuck. Some of the towns down in the country have the worse roads.

Actually apparently there is a spray bra for temporary use and one for more permenant. I was actually talking more about the latter. The guy I was talking to was saying that he was thinking about taking off the 3M off his 6 series and putting on this stuff instead. I had never heard anyone talk about it.

Ok I just read the armor coat link. This is way different from the one I seen. More like clear coat on top of your clear coat.
This one sounds like it's pretty expensive. Its probably hard to find a collision shop that does it or really know how to apply it. But according to them any professional auto painter can do it. "Q: Where can I get ArmorCoat installed on my vehicle? A: Any quality, professional body shop can install the ArmorCoat finish. Speak to your local body shop. Show them our product information. As authorized installers and dealers are established, a list will be posted on our web site." |
