Need help mounting radar detector!

Hey guys,

I just got a escort 8500 x50 blue display radar detector,and I need help mounting it? I don\'t want to buy the $80 rearview mirror mount from escort, but do want it mounted from my mirror. I also don\'t want to use suction cups on my windshield.
The is another post in this section for this but again it\'s $60. I know there must be an inexpensive way to get this done!
Please leave your tricks or ideas to do this, and the website you bought the parts from to make it.

Just stick it to the windshield above the mirror on the right. Works good and is out of the way. You can still mute using button on end.
