fuel additives and boosters
do they work and what are some good ones and why, saw a NOS brand that says it raises the octane on 16 gallons of gas by 6 points, i find it hard to believe that a 16 oz bottle can raise the octane at all

don't forget Torco, can raise your octane several points depending how much you dilute in the tank. Here's there website http://www.torcousa.com/torco_product/un_acce.html
You can also buy it in 5 gal can. I used it on my Sti as it was notorious for knocking on anything less than 93 and 91 is all i can get here in CA. |

Definitely do your reaearch on fuel additives. I can't remember the site where i saw a very in-depth comparison between most of the boosters on the market, and 95% of them did almost nothing. Some only raised the actual octane by .1!!! So let's say you had a tank full of 91 (the highest you can get @the pump here in the valley), and after spending $15+ for a bottle of booster, the octane rating was then 91.1!! Not really a good bang for your buck!!! There's a ton of info and comparisons out there, so search and you shall become enlightened!!! Really, if you have access to actual race gas, your going to have much better results than any of the so called "octane boosters"!! GL!!!

Hey
U should try some 108 octane booster! It's a yellow and black bottle and it's made in Conroe Texas if u can. I use it with 91 and my jb4 map 5 autotune map always increases boost with it mixed in the gas. Here in Oklahoma u can get it at autozone or oreily's in two sizes.

i have done 1000's of dyno test on $40,000 off road race engines i built, and we tested every octane booster and the best we found that increased CA 91 octane from the local arco and Shell station was lucas oil octane booster. In our testing in a private lab the one bottle of lucas oil octane booster mixed with 10 gallons of gas gave an increase of almost 4 octane point consitantly. CA 91 was right below 95 octane after the mix
