brillo'd wheels...help!

Ok, before I get all the crap from the forum for actually doing this...I know it was stupid.

Frustrated with not being able to get the brake dust from the wheels, I used a fine Brillo pad which obviously did damage. I tried several cleaners and claying before I resorted to this.

Thank god I only did one wheel, but would still like to correct it if possible. Does anyone have any suggestions where to go from here?

ouch...Brillo all the other ones, then they'll all have a nice matte finish.

yeah im having problems with my rims as well the paint is chipping off.....i gotta get some of that touch up paint

Brillo is pretty coarse..You maybe be out of luck..

If you brillowed the wheels then you only have a few options. You can try and buff the wheels with a polish, but you also need to be carefull with this.
If that doesnt work you may need to pick up some 3000 or 4000 grit sandpaper and wetsand the wheels, then polish them.

What ever you do, dont sand paper off any tough bird shit stains on the paint.

if only the clear is damaged, get urself the mother's powerball, sand the wheel w 2000 grit or higher paper, and some good cutting compund, and polish the shine back.

all I know is brillo stands behind their product with 100% money back if not satisfied.

On a more serious side, I hope you resolved this somehow. But overtime your wheel will get chipped and scratches. I had 37K miles on my car and there are all sort of rock chip on my rim. It will get alot of abuse.
