A canbus HID kit will not work on its own. The reason is because the current angel eye system runs at many different volts depending on if the DRL are on, or the headlights are on. That system will cause problems with plug and play HID kit. So the current angel eye HId systems wire in to the battery and some other odds and ends to make it work. Those other odds and ends I dont know specifically. Also you need to plan on cutting drilling or modifying your angel eye cover housing to feed in the wiring to ballast/ignitor ETC

You can order LUX AE from luxAngelEys.com. They ship to Europe.

Hey Foggy! I'm currently using LED angel eyes and i find them pretty weak in daylight... Ive heard nothing but good things about Alpines HID kit and it's daytime results!
Ive tried to do my own research and the only people I can find in the UK with HID systems are mstyle but they charge a ridiculous amount. I spoke with Alpine and they can ship their kit to the UK! I think i'll be getting it in the near future however i'm holding off till I can acquire a little more info on HIDs! |

IMO, the HID AE's (and I've tried them) are TOO bright - the AE's are no longer distinct rings any more at nite time - they look like 2 blobs of light. Daytime is OK, but of all I have tried (Thunder II's, Weisslicht LED, Alpine HID, Lux v3) the Lux are the best option for all around consistant light quality...
