Proceed V5 - Bypassing Oil Temp Feature

So with the Proceed v5, the default settings require oil temps to hit ~ 170 degrees before the features are enabled.

While I realize this is done for the reliability of the turbos, I am hoping there is a way through the command center to either eliminate it altogether or perhaps lower required temperature before the features are enabled.

Anyone done this before?

Thanks!

Shiv has a post where he informs Big Tom on how to do exactly that. It should be easily adjustable in the user software.

On a similar note, any way to increase the temperature threshold? Yes, I am "that guy".

Thanks. I found some discussion of the topic here > http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...light=oil+temp however there were no instructions on how to disable the feature. Shiv seems to make it sound like it's possible.

Using Procede User Interface v5.2 go to Digital Outputs --> Advance Parameters 1 --> Entry #8. You will see the number "27.0588" in that entry. This tells the Procede to stay in 100% pass thru mode (stock wastegate DC%) until oil is up to temp. Now all you need to do is put 0 in that box and hit "APPLY". From that point one, the rattle fix will ignore the oil temp conditional.

There is really no downside to this other than the fact that your tune will be active right upon start-up. It will not be pass-thru/stock tune. However, boost will still be lowered and will gradually ramp up to full boost by the usual 170F or so. So go ahead and make the change

Cheers,
shiv
