Can someone do a cat delete in the area?
So.. all the shops in my area are all pretty legit... no one knows anyone near Island County that has their own shop or at least has the minimum tool requirements...
Just looking to get my secondary cats removed... i don't know if there's a straight pipe bolt-on you can get for the setup so i'm assuming it's a cut and weld job. I stay in Oak Harbor but i'm willing to travel to the Seattle/bellevue area if you can do quality work. **please no names of shops posted here - don't want anyone under investigation. If you know a place, just send me a PM** if you're interested, contact me either here or by PM with how much $ you'd do the job for... (hopefully looking at $150-$200) Maybe i'm not seeing the difficulty in this, as far as i see... measure and write down: 10minutes at most, unbolt: 3minutes, cut off cats: 2mintues, cut and bend stainless steel pipe to measured specs: 30 minutes, weld in place 30minutes at most, bolt back on: 10 minutes at most... material costs should be minimal... it's stainless steel that's typically kept at all muffler shops... ![]() Last edited by N0OS3; 09-28-2011 at 09:38 PM.. |

no!
lol sorry i am no help, but the only shop that said ok to do a catless dp for me no longer exists o.0 and even so, it was because i knew them well. what i have seen people do, is basically DIY it but find/hire a guy that does welding and having him come in and just cut the piece off and weld on a straight pipe.

well actually it wasnt a cat removal, it was adding an electric cut out, but dan fast wouldnt do it since the exhaust no longer has a cat on it... but some guy you hire to weld some pipe together wont be as likely to be afraid of getting in trouble.

LOL, that's highly possible with the amount of shady people up in Everett
![]() Otherwise, Speedware or Motoring Unlimited will probably take on a job like this.
