Homelink on shared main gate @ apartment building???
Anyone have success setting up Homelink on their main gate at an apartment building? I can't get close enough to see if the gate opener has a 'learn' setting since it's 15 feet in the air and is on quite a slope.
Really want to get this working. Any help much appreciated! I've followed the instructions in the manual but no luck...starting to get very frustrated! |

Have you tried sync-ing the remote with the homelink? This is one way of doing it if it doesn't have a rolling code.

since if the garage opener has to be in learn mode, it may never work - since you probably don't have access to the opener in the first place. Unless the parking garage or condo allows it to learn your homelink - I am sure they will not allow this due to security concerns but you never know (i.e. if you sell your car etc.) With my garage, I had to use the remote to learn the code, but my garage opener (this is not a condo or parking garage) had to be in learn mode so it would accept the new remote (homelink.) |
