328xi Performance Exhaust
Does anyone have any suggestions on what type of after market performance exhaust will be good for a 2011 328xi? I like the BMW performance exhaust but it\'s way to expensive. Any suggestions or ideas would be great. Thanks

Are you looking for performance gains or simply for sound? I would really recommend the PE from Tischer for 1095, or check if someone in the classified section is selling a used one. Got mine put in 3 weeks ago, and it is thoroughly good. |

I have the BMW PE on my 2011 xi e92 and love it. It really grew on me.

I really want the PE too but the dealership is asking for $3,000 fully installed. I was thinking of getting the after market Dinan but I don't want the car to sound like crap. If I can't find anything else I guess I'll have no choice but to get the BMW PE.

My dealership was asking me like 400 for installation, but I live near the IL border so I called the nearest dealership that just so happened to be right on the border and only 30 minutes away from me, and they installed it for 270. I know I still got raped, but I felt good after knowing that my warranty was in tact. Additionally, my car was due for scheduled maintenance so I got that done there as well. They were really nice because they let me keep my stock exhaust at the dealership for 2 weeks while I arranged for a truck to bring down and pick it up ![]() Seriously though, order from Tischer, and ask the dealership for only the install price. |

Any dealer that says it costs $400 to install a PE is a rip-off artist!!! I had my PE installed at some local indy exhaust shop in 40 mins for $60 total. My PE included the mid pipes from the 2nd cat as well as the muffler attached with the included mechanical clamps, couldn't be an easier install.

I may be selling my PE in a few months for 800$. Will let you know. An added bonus is that it has some sweet black powder coated Dimisa tips on it too!

Buy BMW PE from Tischer (getbmwparts.com) and have it installed at an exhaust shop. Labor will be under an hour. For what you get (a full catback exhaust) $1000 is not bad at all. |

Yikes @ $3k ... highway robbery.
+ 1 to buy from Tischer/getBMWparts, get installed at a reputable local shop. I did the same with my PE, cost $125 for the install. Someone would have to be totally inept to screw up the PE install. After hearing horror stories from friends of mine with BMWs about local dealerships, I would not go to the dealership for anything but required warranty work. The less they touch it the better!!
