07 335xi fitment

I know I'm but I just couldn't find solid information on this. All of the answers are mixed. I searched and searched again. Then I searched some more.

Here it is. I want a catted downpipe for the xi. From what I can see AR is the best in terms of fit because of the tight spaces in the xi.

Now, I looked on their website and they do have a catted xi dp, but it says for the N55. Then the others are either only for the 335i or are catless.

So strictly, what DP will fit my 07 N54 335xi!?

Why do you want catted DP's? Usually they only pass the O2 readiness criteria for about a year and then require simming from then on. Just go with catless to start and keep your stock secondaries to keep the noise/smell down.

AR does not make catted DP's for the xi in the first place (3" catted pipe won't fit on the xi) so your only option is UR (ultimate racing) which is a 2.5" pipe but does have a cat. I know the **********s site has it up as a choice, but I would recommend calling them so they can confirm that it is mislabeled. Seeing that you're in VA, it is worth mentioning that there have been multiple people with UR's that look terrible after just one harsh winter, while the AR's stay perfectly fine in even the harshest environments.

In a nutshell, get AR catless and a tune/sim and be done with it.

According to my information they dont have a catted for the Xi. If they do it would be special order. However, I wouldnt bother with catted as they tend to fail over-time anyway.

+1

There are no catted XI DPs as far as I know, most likely due to the incredible tight space on the XI. Even the cat less XI downpipes are smaller then the non-XI versions due to fitment.

AR design is one of the only manufactures that make a downpipe for the Xi models. With that being said, the catless setup is all that is available.

Keep your secondary cats in place.

If you're worried about passing emissions, I would simply recommend two things:

1) keep your secondary cats in place
2) remove the catless downpipes upon your smog inspection and reinstall the OEM downpipes to pass the test
