Everyone who gets spring, end up regretting....

Do it right the first time, save for coilovers...

This car is not easy to work on, swapping suspension is a bitch...

just my .02 cents..

Errrr, if you get springs, it's just gonna be the same as getting coilovers in terms of warranty and stuff...

Just take it out before u return it...or at the end of your lease, sell ur car and try to make money...

If i were you, i'd get H&R sport...

Alot of company are selling the wrong offset for our cars currently, and everyone rubs like a mofo...having race springs will make it worse, it'll also kill ur stock struts faster than sport springs...and there ain't crap u can do about it since u can't adjust the height or stiffness of the ride...

get H&R sport springs, then get wheels..not the other way around

Get H&R sport over H&R race, the look is nice but the ride is a little bumpy on the stock shocks.

The best thing to do is save your money to get the KW coilovers. That is the best choice I have made. One ride in a buddies car and was sold. Don't be worried with the KW coilovers, they offer lifetime warranty plus is much easier to sell when your lease is up. If I am not mistaken, most people lease their cars nowadays.

Thinking of going to V2s myself, going to take a little time though

i just put H&R race on my car..... had eibach sportlines before, in comparison.... i love the stance of the H&R (trust me there is a difference) but with the eibach it was low enough where it didn't scrap and the ride was a lot more comfy

I know it's a different car, but I've had HR Races on my 330 ZHP coupe for 2 years (on stock shocks) and love it! I have never had a single regret.

1bad, I'm curious to how many miles you have on your stock shocks.

+1

Plus you get the added "oh shit" factor with coilovers.

After a couple thousand miles, is the camber all jacked up on your cars? Would getting a camber kit help out alot?

I have put about 20k miles and some change on my stock shocks. Still running almost like they did the day I installed the springs. Granted, I rode in a Koni equipped car and it felt a lot stiffer and less body roll's on the turns, but my stock shocks did the job fine for the 2 years of use they had.

If you're used to a comfortable ride, i don't think race is the springs you want. You'd definitely have to get shocks soon or later... I'd say if you have the money get the C/Os instead.

I've had race w/non-sport stock shocks then got the KONI FSDs then switched to Eibach Pro-Kit to go with the Koni FSDs. With all the installation and everything added, I could have gotten a KW V4 already... (sarcasasm.. V4 not available).

I think that's a fair judgment. The race look absolutely stunning but for practical everyday use, the Sports or Pro Kit are the way to go.

Just ordered a set of H&R race for 335i coupe with sport package. They should be here in a week, I'll install it take some pics and write a review. H&R makes some aggressive springs so I'm expecting it to be a little rough for the daily commute but we'll see.

I posted these pics in another thread, but this is the sort of drop you can expect with the HR Race springs. Looks great and it handles fantastically on flat roads/curves/etc but the ride is TOO BUMPY on uneven roads... I put these on 2 weeks ago and now I'm looking for a shop to put coilovers in my car(KW or bilsteins). if you're looking just for springs, i would probably get the HR sports.

Im in a similar boat and will only do coils in the future. I went with H&R Sport, but the ride was bouncy, so I added Koni FSD, but they didnt work right with that spring, so swapped in Koni Yellow, so, its been 3 months and $2400 worth of parts, alignments, and rear shock adjustments.

Should have bit the bullet and done Coils to begin with I really like the car now, but its been a long complicated road.

H&R race installed today and I love them so far. I'll have pics up by tomorrow. In my opinion there is no reason to spend extra on coil overs, just pair these with a good set of adjustable struts and your good to go for half the price of some of these coil overs. I have a daily commute of 40 miles each way so I'll let you know how it goes but so far so good.

Sorry for the bad pictures, I took them with my camera phone. I'll try to get some more with a real camera if anybody is interested:

I drove about 40 miles to work today, the ride was actually not what I expected it was actually a really nice ride.
