Opinions needed for E92 OEM style front aero lip in Carbon Fiber
Hello everyone, this is my first personal on E90post. So it's kinda exciting for me.
I've just ordered a E92 335i and it's made to order from Germany, so I need to wait for 3 months until it arrives. I like the OEM style E92 aerodynamic kit very much, especially the front lip and the rear bumper. Since my car is in Crimson Red, I think it'll look cool and have a nice contrast to the body color if it's in Carbon Fiber. And a good friend of mine is a CF bodykit manufacturer, which he's already making various CF products for the E90. So I asked him if he could make one for me, he said it doesn't make economic sense to manufacture a mold and just make 1 kit. Therefore, I'm asking for opinions and comments from those who are interested in this product. If there are enough positive feedback, then we can produce these parts for a reasonable price. Your sincere comments are very appreciated! |

I thought that carbon fiber is good for hoods or trunks and other metal parts, where the weight savings are noticable. What's the point in making the lip carbon fiber, when the oem one is light by itself already? Looks is not worth the price difference IMO.

that's true. but what if the price of the CF front lip is similar or even below the OEM spoiler, and offering the same level of fitment and quality? Also, potential buyers can choose to paint the front lip then, or partially paint it and leave some CF exposed, like the E90 sedan or CSL front bumper.
