How bad is this???
06 325i w/ sports package and got too careless on a slippery road hit the curb when sliding on a narrow turn (very immature of me i know... i wont let it happen again)..... This is my rear left wheel. I was going maybe 10 mph on a right turn, kicked out the rear, and hit the divider entering a parking lot. I looked around; nothing seems so have snapped or broke off but definitely is bent... Your thoughts?

i would compare the left with the right side for anything that stands out.
there could be a little or a lot of hidden damage. a lateral shock to a rear wheel and the connected drivetrain would have transferred to the differential and also possibly to the other side. you could have rear subframe issues, damaged wheel bearings, multiple bushings damaged, bent control arms. i would try and get a body shop to give you a free estimate, then decide if its worth claiming on insurance or not. at least you will know what needs replacing. |
Appreciate
