N52 carbon valve cover

Ive have been looking around and couldnt really find good detail on this if i buy a carbon valve cover for my 2006 e90 n52 engine will it be hard to paint over it most forums say that the epoxy on the carbon will make it hard to paint over it. Is this true if any one knows plz post it

How much weight does it save? The OEM plastic one is paintable.
