With leather, heated seats are a must IMO. Too cold in winter not to have them.

Waste of time IMHO. In my 2 cars, one has them and one doesn't. Never use them and don't miss them in the other one. Wouldn't pay a penny for them

A must on leather, at this time of year they are worth their weight in gold.

I've had them on plenty of cars and my Scania at work has 1 heated seat, absolute godsend if you ask me.
Our last E91 330d didn't have them, and it was murder in subzero temperatures |

Another vote here for "if you've got leather, you need heated seats" brigade. Having had them, I wouldn't consider a car without them. If its cloth seats, I wouldn't worry.

how much is the option?
i would say yes only if for resale attraction even if you don't like them however in the last 2-3 cars with leather they have been awesome in the cold weather and when my back is niggling with a bit of pain.

I wouldn't buy a car without them if it had leather. Even considered getting them retro fitted to a used 3 series I was considering as that was the only option missing.

My car has leather but not heated. Never bothered me. Had heated seats on previous car & never used them. However, if I was specing the car from new, would probably take the heaters as it seems a lot of people consider heaters essential with Leather.
I would much rather have cooled/ventilated seats for the hot summer weather. Black leather can get quite warm !! |

Both my current cars have heated seats, and the last half dozen or so. In any climate other than tropical or desert, they are a must, perfect to warm you up in the cold weather and also great if you have any sort of a dodgy back muscle problems. Stop asking silly questions and just get the option, you won't regret it.
Kev.

And I do recall that if you're leasing from BMW it's one of the easy ones to get if you've already spec'ed stuff like matellic and bluetooth. Basically they chuck it in. |

I've had heated seats on quite a few of my cars and never used them.
At 20 it was funny to turn them on to make your passengers feel uncomfortable as it was a novelty back then. It takes about 10 seconds for my bum to warm the seat waiting on the steering wheel and gear knob to warm up. Even in the colder Scottish winter I could live without them. I'd love them to be cooling in the summer though. |

love them, theres something very nice about it being able to open your window etc when its cold and still be nice and hot from the heated seat
I hardly ever use the car heater - always use the bum warmer instead it is easily the best VFM option I have
