Time for a change....

A few pics of my new motor - almost went with an X5 40d
but with E90 M3 production ending this month i couldnt stop
myself from getting another one - went back to the UK last
week to pick it up, gave my 'old' car one last hard run on the autobahn
on the way over but had to baby the new one on the way back which made for a boring return journey!

After never owning a non black car in my life i finally took the plunge and went white - and i like it, really shows off the lines
of the car far better than black although i do miss that understated look black gives.

It is the perfect family car (for me!) not sure how sensible it is though

Cheers Del - i'm on holiday with the family in the Canaries at the moment - just want to get home and get the car upto 1200 miles for the service before the German winter takes hold! How are you finding the change in colour you made (same as me i believe?) Do you prefer white, any regrets?

I've gone from AW to mineral white Steve and although there isn't too much difference, the MW does look good in direct sunlight. It's not a regret, but I find white doesn't reward you after a good clean and wax. There is no depth to the shine, something you might notice coming from black.

Other than that, I love the new one. Is your running in service covered by the dealer? only I heard they were knocking the offer on the head this month.

Not in Germany mate - 450 Euro! As for the waxing etc i reckon youre right - i tried to get this one in Estoril blue
but with me working overseas for the last six months without regular internet access it was very difficult to
get a special order pushed through and with me changing next year i couldnt justify the extra cost - i like the white though, looks fantastic at night i think.

Wouldnt change to a E92 - love the fact that the E90 is so rare - people are always pulling alongside on the autobahn and doing a double take before giving the thumbs up - i prefer the look of the E92 slightly from the rear but from every other angle i prefer the E90, the wider wheel arches give it a nice squat stance which i like.

Park Lane again Del - the 1st pic is at the delivery center in Ashford. no idea what i'll get next year - new F30 M3 won't be out and E90 M3 is now out of production, getting a German Shepherd puppy at the weekend so maybe next year will be the time to get sensible - maybe an F30 E91 335d??

My job allows me to change my cars every year for minimal cost to change. When the year was up with the black M3
i loved it so much i decided to go for another just in a different colour.

I wasn't sure but thought it might be Ashford, as I spend a fair amount of time there

Not sure who i dealt with at Ashford mate - i literally turned up swapped keys, signed some paperwork and headed back to Germany!
