How many hours Labor to install oem aux Oil Cooler?? How much additional cooling?
Hi Everyone,
How many hours Labor to install oem aux Oil Cooler?? How much additional cooling does it Provide?? i.e., If your oil temps are normally 250 what does adding oil cooler drop them to?? Is it considered a complex install?? Thanks in Advance |

Probably about a 5 hour install. It provides some additional cooling. You need to give us some more information on how you use your car. track, drag, etc. Several factors contribute to oil temps. Oil cooler or not. After the install your oil temps might hover around 245F. It's a somewhat complicated install. There is a guide on how to do it on our site. During our last group road trip, my e92 335i AT without oil cooler hovers around 240-250F. Another 335i AT with the stock oil cooler also hovers around 240-250F. Both cars are stock, and never went over the 250F mark. That should give you an idea.

Try driving the one without an oil cooler at even a simple autox event.

Just trying to provide my real world experience to the OP so he can justify for himself whether the oil cooler is worth it in daily driving. If he's tuned and tracks, then it is a good choice.
