COBB Datalog - Weird Induction Noise
My car with a Cobb tune, which is an otherwise stock 135i, makes a very odd induction noise at WOT when the car gets hot. Almost like a howl. I read over at the 1 series forum that the 335i forum has more experience critiquing datalogs and wanted to put this one out there for comments.
What I noticed when I looked at it: I have some areas where individual cylinder's are seeing a timing correction and other ares where the overall timing is negative under boost. I've highlighted some of these areas in the attached. Looks to me like I'm going into limp home mode. |

Send the log to cobb.
Are you getting any codes? Running the right map for the mods on octane? I never see timing correction on my logs when i run those channels so to me something is not right but i am not an expert.

Cobb has the log. I am awaiting a reply.
Would a code activate one of the dash lights? If yes, then no - no codes. Ran both the Aggressive and Sport maps back-to-back last night. Cold weather, so air temps never got above ~95. Saw timing correction on both maps. 93 octane with a fresh fill from Shell. |
