Mounting Kit for Recaro SPD in E90

Does such a thing exist? I have some back problems and strangely the recaro feels MUCH better on my back. I've never swapped seats in a car before, but I can get the recaro SE for a really nice price on a lightly used one. Can someone confirm that there is a bracket or whatever I'll need to mount this in my E90 06 325i? I am getting the seat today or tomorrow, as long as I can find what I need to install it. I've tried looking, but I can't seem to find anything or know where to look.

Thanks!

EDIT: The title is wrong! It is not the recaro SPD, it is the recaro SE. If a mod could fix that I'd appreciate it.

I think Matt Schnell has rails that can mount the Recaro seats in the e90. IRC, EAS sells them.

It's not as easy as it looks. You'll need to purchase seat mounts (like the ones VAC makes), sliders if the seats don't already have them, if you're mounting a passenger seat you'll have to purchase the airbag sensor switch to turn off the passenger airbag so the light isn't always on, mounts for the seatbelts (the receptical, not the belt part) and you'll need to fabricate a mount for the belt on the lower part of the seat since it's mounted directly to the stock seat.
You want someone who knows what they're doing. It's not plug and play by any means. You'll need to offset the seat on the mounts so you're sitting directly behind the steering wheel. If you just mount the seat as is, you'll be sligthly offset to the outside of the car.

Here are the items you'll need:

I've gone through all this before. In the second pic, you can see the custom bracket where the belt is attached to the seat bracket. You can't just buy the brackets EAS sells, they don't work, we tried.

Here's a couple of pics of my seats.

Sounds like a pretty rough install :/

I don't know what I'm going to do. I'll probably pass up the seat if it is going to be that involved. I need to find a sport seat or something damn it.

I see you have a CG lock too. Love that thing.

Not exactly sure what a recaro se is, but for any recaro "motorsport" seat, you'll need floor mounts, side mounts, sliders (optional), and a seatbelt receptacle. Personally i'd go with VAC or MS for all the above.

If you're using any other recaro, the seat might already have built in side mounts and/or sliders on it so all you would need is floor mounts and possibly seatbelt receptacles.

Recaro SE is one of the cheaper seats Recaro made. Seems to be discontinued.

I emailed the guy I was going to buy the seat from and he said he would throw in the rails so I'd just need sliders. Is this true? Or is there more to it than that? I know I should really do my own research, but I am trying to figure it all out before someone else buys the seat. I've never changed seats in a car so this seems intimidating because I don't want to make a costly mistake.

@AW325xi I wonder if your shit didn't fit because it was sparco seats on recaro rails? I really don't know but you make it seem REALLY difficult when others make it sound so easy. I am just trying to figure it out so I appreciate hearing it from both sides.

I am mounting just a drivers side seat for now, so if that makes things easier then great!

I am basically looking to price every single thing out ASAP. My buddy can help install it all, but he doesn't know which things to order for my specific car either.

Would like to know who made your custom bracket for the seatbelts on the outside of seat? Please let me know.
Thanks

Sorry, it was a LONG time ago and a car past. The place that did all the work on my car did the custom bracket for the seatbelt. It's Bimmerworks in West Chester, PA. Chris is the tech who is a wizard at anything you throw at him.
Not much help I'm afraid.
