Aftermarket Intake Poll
I currently have a Dinan Stage II tune, Dinan Exhaust and Oil Cooler. Next is an intake. Although both look great I dont think the Gruppe M or the Dinan intake's are worth the money.
I want something thats looks good as well as provides a gain in HP. Which would you go with of the choices in the poll? Last edited by vzehler; 10-23-2011 at 06:07 PM.. |

Ahh shoot, I forgot about the Injen Intake.. Thats also a viable option and unfortunately I cant change the poll to add it.. If you like the Injen just post in the thread.

It's probably because all of the other opinions have been expressed in other threads....

Plain old BMS DC works just as good as any- better than some, sounds just as good as any, and looks just fine.
Just my 2C.. Take that extra cash and get a CM Meth setup. That way they won't be able to catch you to see what you have under there anyway. |

All of them are less restrictive and better than stock with while tuned. I went with aFe because of the heat shield, scoops, and it looks perfect IMO. People go when I pop the hood.

Not much to say here, of all the DCI's its name brand loyalty. IMO if there is any intake in the engine bay its whichever can stuff the biggest filters. Which is why I dont like the AFE.
However, I still prefer the true CAI for my customers. |

Get the Dinan intake, it's the best bet for your car and was tested in conjunction with your own mods. Can't beat that. After spending $5000+ on Dinan mods, there is no point in getting a $100 hot air intake.

I have had the STETT, Burger, and now I have the Injen. The STETT and INJEN have amazing craftsmanship. Basically the STETT didn’t fit in the IS, so that went and I got the Burger. Then my car had a mysterious squeal from under the hood so those went (it was my DP ring on the turbo side that was installed improperly from the factory). So now I have the INJEN in and I love it.
I would def go with STETT if you don’t mind the location of the filter and the hump in your inner fender (basically if you don’t drive in hurricanes and have your car slammed to the ground, you’ll be fine), and then INJEN if not STETT. But if you want to save some money, Burger is an excellent product also. But if you get Burger I would recommend getting nano filters instead of oiled. Good luck! |
