Scratched up Xenon covers
Hey guys,
My headlights are all scratched up. The color is excellent, I mean they are crystal clear with no yellowing. They just have lots of scratches. Does the headlight restore kits work for this or am I going to have to do the cutting compound, less cut, finishing , etc... then optical polish to finish up. That would take forever. I'm assuming that would work, never tried, just had to get a scratch out of my telescope glass once and the optical compound worked. Don't think it would matter but its an e90 Xenon Pre LCI. Thanks for any tips. Edit: Thanks to mods for moving this. Last edited by scrufy; 10-24-2011 at 12:09 AM.. |

Meguires has a product called PlastX. It is a polish for plastic. I've used it before on headlights and it works pretty well. You can use it by hand but you really need to put in a lot of force. You can research "wetsanding headlights" to get you started. I don't think you will need to sand them though.
