Scratched up Xenon covers

Hey guys,
My headlights are all scratched up. The color is excellent, I mean they are crystal clear with no yellowing. They just have lots of scratches.

Does the headlight restore kits work for this or am I going to have to do the cutting compound, less cut, finishing , etc... then optical polish to finish up.
That would take forever.
I'm assuming that would work, never tried, just had to get a scratch out of my telescope glass once and the optical compound worked.
Don't think it would matter but its an e90 Xenon Pre LCI.

More than likely, you're going to need to polish.

Meguires has a product called PlastX. It is a polish for plastic. I've used it before on headlights and it works pretty well. You can use it by hand but you really need to put in a lot of force. You can research "wetsanding headlights" to get you started. I don't think you will need to sand them though.
