FML Deer hit on OX rd.Then Police chase.
Ok on Friday night I went to my cousins birthday party, and got really drunk. So my girlfriend drove my car home from Burke.( Im the guy that took the pole on who lets your girlfriend drive there cars). It was about 2 in the morning, and as some of you know its very dark on Ox rd. 123, a deer decides to jump over the front of my car and land on the passenger side fender. I was sober after I saw that BTW, I tell her to pull the car over so I can look at the damage. While I was out crying about my fender I hear a faint exhaust sound coming quick, It was a silver E46 maybe M3 not too sure. So he zooms by me honking like he is having fun in the process, a couple of seconds later I see Fairfax finest right behind him lights on and everything. So I decide that there is nothing I can do about this damage right now so I told my girlfriend to CAREFULLY drive home.
On our way home, we cross into Lorton, and guess what happens next, we have Fairfax Police on our back. So he comes up to my window and says " You guys like Hauling ass huh?" I was like what are you talking about, we just hit a deer. He was like i'm looking for a silver BMW that I clocked at 107 mph. I said "Ocifer I dont have time to be running from you, but I saw the chase and I think you guys had it under control because you had a cruiser following the Bimmer" he was like welllll , that was me chasing and I lost him. In my head, im thinking " you got smoked " Maybe that E46 is on this forum. My question is where can I get m3 rep fogs and grille? Or do I have to buy the whole bumper again? |

You had to tell that story just to ask where to get replacement grilles and fogs? Does your insurance not cover it?
P.S. - You were wasted and then sober in a few hours? |

Wow crazy night man. Van told me a little of what happened. Glad you guys weren't seriously hurt and the damage wasn't worse. Would Tischer have those parts?

lmao @ "that was me chasing and I lost him."
You should try to work it out with your insurance first. But if you have a high deductible, just source the parts somewhere (eg: getbmwparts.com).

I think I might go the insurance route, my deductible is 500.00. I think this repair should go over 500.00. I just wonder how they will source the parts if they plan on repairing the bumper? |

Tischer has the parts (plastic mesh and fogs), I believe TJ. The bumper looks ok to me.
Bad mojo weekend.....I think my Diff is blown.....it's at Sterling BMW now.

That sucks to hear. I bought my m3 rep bumper from jlevi, not sure where you bought yours from, but when I asked them about damaged parts while shipping, they said they would have to send the entire bumper again b/c they don't carry spare parts for it. They get each one as a full kit. Only option I would say is either do a fog light delete, or find anyone who has done that and would want to sell their fog grill.

Tell me about it, I was supposed to paint a bumper on an e90. He called me that morning to tell me he couldnt make it, because he got into an accident the day before.

haha great story, sorry to hear about your car though, just do a Fog Delete and get it painted and take the extra cash from the insurance company and get another mod with it

If you go through insurance, you might need a police report of the damage, but at that point, you can either stick with the m3 rep or mtech for e90 if that exist, sorry don't know much about e90.
I would also bring it to a BMW dealership and let them deal with repairing it especially if you want an actual BMW bumper, b/c they don't like dealing with aftermarket so when they price out a bumper, it will be a BMW bumper. Yes it's more but you are only have to pay your deductible. My Service Rep at Russel BMW, Tom Wolfe, actually took care of everything for me when something similar happened. State Farm came to check the car, got the tour of russel BMW shop which is a SF certified shop. They wrote the check and BMW worked on my car while I has a 1 series for a few days. All I had to do was pay my $500 deductible. Also got $15/day for the car rental from state farm. That was my story, can't guarantee yours will be similar. |
