order date

I ordered on 4/7 (production # 3598###). CA was telling me she was giving me a 4/17 production but turns out it was a couple of weeks off, don't really care cause I can't take delivery before mid-july anyways;

yup, it's part of dealerspeed which is the BMWNA's internal dealer system; got lucky my CA gave me a login! (pretty sure he wasn't supposed to cause there's a lot of "internal" memo's on this thing!!)

Just curious... did you order your car with the iPod 6FL option? I did and got pushed back from week 18 to week 20 supposedly because they are "batching" a bunch of cars week 20 with that option.

I was bumped from week 18 to week 16 and I had 6fl. 6fl shouldn't hold anyone up.

Congrats on the early production! The wait gets worse, the obsession gets worse.

Waiting for a ship, then daily updates on the ship position, your car is offloaded and you don't know what's going on with it (That's where I am at).

Found out today from 800# I started production yesterday, so I guess 6FL does not matter.

Milehigh5000, Wow looking at your signature, it sure doesn't take very long for the car to be built once it goes into production, just about 1 week maybe less not counting weekend days. I guess the biggest wait is waiting for production to actually start, uh?

Yeah this is the "blackout" wait, when you don't really have any concrete estimates of any sort, and technically you could get bumped back weeks, or bumped up weeks, etc. blah blah... it's the uncertainty that bewilders us

Once it starts production, you pretty much know when your car is going to arrive. and every day something new comes along, whether the car just enters the paint shop, or the boat reports a new location, etc.

so yeah.. tough it out, it'll be over soon!
