while i disagree with cops driving over the speed limit, FHP is ridiculous. who the fuck draws a gun on a cop?

all cops are pigs, but i dont understand why this trooper felt it was necessary to draw her gun on another armed tax collector.

i can count more times than i have finger and toes that i wish i had the authority to pull over a trooper for driving like a fucking idiot.

Cops are people, too. People have episodes. People having an episode with a gun can make a sticky situation. I would have probably pulled a gun on the cop if I was the trooper too. What if the Miami cop snapped and decided to go on a spree? Speeding recklessly and failing to stop is a pretty good indicator that something is wrong. Even though it turned out to be not much except a cop feeling he's above the law, the trooper acted appropriately. The Miami cop was pretty grossly breaking the law and all bets are off when the cop becomes a criminal.

IMO, the speeding officer will be subject to internal inquiry, and will likely lose his job, unless there is some mitigating circumstance we are unaware of, such as if he was working in an undercover capacity. Otherwise, he deserves everything he gets.

She drew her gun because anyone who deliberately disobeys the police in a high speed case could be capable of anything, including continuing to disobey the police. Safety first kids.
