Silver pre-LCI headlight reflector

Like a lot of people on this forum, I want to get rid of those orange reflectors without the cost of replacing them with euro or LCI headlight.

I'm planning on sending my headlights to get the OSS rings and the guys gave me the option of painting the reflectors in Silver.

I did a bit of search and I couldn't find anyone that did this before. Also, after seeing the pictures, I'm not sure i like the finish. I would like to have you guys opinion...

Doesn't look too bad, but since you drive a "black bimmer" i'm not sure if it goes too well... can you show installed pics?

It's black sapphire metallic... Can you post pics of your headlights?

I agree, I'm trying to get closer to the Euro look but all painted looks kinda weird IMO.... Maybe the blackout would be a better option...

try actually getting white reflective tape and overlaying it like that... ^__^ i'm sure it's carried at Autozone, Homedepot or many auto outlet stores

I would either:

Find a set of used silver reflectors (very difficult, best bet is to get in touch with garages in the UK and see if they can ship you a set)

or

Paint them matte black.

I've read somewhere on this forum that the silver reflectors woudn't fit in the "US spec" headlights. I'll definitely do more search...

Thks for your opinion!

I have purchased mine from another member who had it wrapped with white carbon fiber.. I think it looks awesome, very similar to the look of a stock Euro headlights without the amber, also has the texture.

1st picture a factory Euro headlight.
2nd picture is what the headlights look like wrapped with white carbon fiber material.

Here you go:

I tried to imitate the LCI look. Anything is better than the Ugly Ambers.

I personally had a set of OEM Euro reflectors transplanted into OEM US Xenons. Fit perfectly.

I have a set of orange reflectors if someone wants an extra set to mess around with and not risk ruining the originals.

I contacted the builder of those headlights cover and unfortunately he stoped doing them. I find they actually look better than the euro...

I agree... Thanks for sharing the pictures! Looks good on your car but I'm still not sure it'll look as good on a BSM car...

Could you share how you sourced the Euro reflectors?

I'll be replacing the lenses on mine; I'd love to install the clear flectors while I'm at it.
