CD changer questions
I have a '08 328 with the "Hi-fi" system (pretty sure atleast, has the 2 subs under the seats, but I don't have the center console speaker) and my car is "cd changer" ready... whatever that really means (what is the difference if my car is "ready" ?) My questions are: Do i have to buy a BMW CD changer or can I go with a different brand? I think - not sure - but think Alpine makes the BMW changer? is this correct? How is the quality/performance of the OEM BMW changer? I hear you have the cd changer "coded" to match the stock headunit, etc. There is no way I can do this myself? Hear dealers are charging upwards up $150 to "code" their changers ![]() What else do I need to know if I want to put a CD changer into my car? (I'd rather have the changer be able to play MP3 cds too if possible)
