Few Questions

Hello Fellas

I have some questions about a good shop to roll my fenders, curry's auto is quoting me $125 an hour... I am guessing if I went with a 19 inche wheel 8.5 front with 35et or 33et I do not need to roll my front fenders but for the rear I will be going with 19/10 22 (looking at LC 818's) then I will have to roll my fenders since I am dropping my car.

second question, wtf is up with BMW service department? I have called the Sterling BMW over 5 times and left messages with various questions and no one calls back... Do I actualy have to go in? questions such as painting my calipers, does it void warranty etc..

Thanks

P.S. one more question, is there a huge ride comfort level between KW v1's or Kw v3's?

That's a pretty large offset stagger (32mm).. I wouldn't recommend that. You want ~10mm difference front to rear.
I would find a local with a fender roller and throw them $15-20/corner.

Dealerships don't want to be bothered with non-OEM stuff.
Painting calipers won't void your warranty... lol.

V3s will allow adjustment in rebound and dampening. You can set them soft or stiff. V1s are comfortable enough for daily driving, but not stiff enough for track IMO.

Thank you :-) I read on here that someone had their warranty voided (on the breaks anyway) after painting their calipers lol.

i have the same wheels and offsets on my e90. I got the rear fenders rolled at IMA Motorsport in Chantilly. They charge $60 per fender (30 min of labor) and their service is awesome!!!

Wow.. $60/corner? That's it... I'm buying a fender roller and offering the service for $20/corner.

Curry's Auto is alright, but some locations are better than others. I believe the Chantilly one is the most regarded one in our area.

That’s weird, I always get an answer when I call. If you call the main service number, you can ask to be transferred directly to an SA. Ask to speak with Ted Ibach. I lost his number, but he’s a good guy. Pat recommended him to me, so he might have his direct number.

Edit: I actually just called the main number, someone picked up the first ring, and was able to transfer me to Ted's extension.

KW V2s are out of the question? I really don’t think V3s are needed unless you track you car heavily. You can adjust the rebound damping on the V2s if you're concerned about comfort.

Hey Royal, thanks for taking the time and responding. V2's are definitly out of the question since they dont make the v2's for X drives :-(... I wouldnt mind going with the V3's but I have been hearing some bad reviews about leaks and chirps. I am really new to this modding stuff lol, my 540I looked legit from the start and still looks low and ballsy but my x drive looks like a freaking redneck truck fest. I have been hearing about TC Kline but the drop in the picture didnt seem low enough to me so not sure if that is the rout I would go.

I have been dealing with Curry's for a while and I am happy with their service (I live in Brambleton so I am close by) but they are pricey.

That's pretty weak they don't make V2s for Xdrives! Have you been dealing with the one at Dulles or another Curry's? Pricey shouldn't be too much of a problem if you're living in Brambleton.

+1. Ivan is the owner and Jen will take good care of you. It is off Pleasant Valley Road in the industrial park next to Moore Cadillac/Hummer dealership, second light after you pass the light with Sheetz at the corner.

They installed my Quaife diff (see link below sig)

I have been dealing with Chantilly. Come on man, you are making Brambleton sound like Mclean or Great Falls Brambleton=Ashburn just a fancy name lol.
