Is there much of a difference between these and the original non-housing dome lights? That is besides the fit?

We will post up pictures although I dont think they will do any justice. The output is great just like the old ones but the light has a wider spread with the new domes.

Getting rid of ghetto tape is one thing, but ghetto domelights is a whole different game.

Glad you guys carry the clean stuff.

Without the opaque plastic cover. Its up to the end user if you want to use it or not. It looks clean both ways.

So can we simply pull out the plastic cover
and skip the headliner access for the change out?

Technically, you can do that anyway, but the headliner access is the 'safer' way to do it, and only adds like 20 seconds to the install (depending on the size of your hands). :P

Yes there is no need to access from the headliner. I still dont know why anyone does it that way. I can do the entire interior install with no tools in less then 10 minutes.

So, ad nauseum, we just pull out the
plastic lens and that should be it. Yes?

Hello all,
I'm going to be doing some extended beta testing/in-depth analysis on these dome lights. The plan is to have these installed by the weekend, then I'll torture test them, and then I'm going to report my results back to HPB, and we'll see where we go from there.

If you have messed up any sockets doing
this, here is one source for replacing them.
My dealer wanted $22.00ea for these.
