2010 E92 Base System Upgrade
Hi, I would like to upgrade my 2010 E92 Base audio system and needed some guidance. I do not want to spent a lot of money and I will not be doing the install so looking for the most bang for the buck.
I was thinking to do the following to to keep it least invasive: Replace Front Speaker with Logic 7 speakers (Already have L7 speakers) Add the L7 tweeters Can someone give me the BMW PN for the Sails to install the tweeters Add XD600/6 or MS-8 I am not planning on replacing the underseat speakers rear speakers. Do you guys think this is a good idea ? I am open to suggestions and also looking to find a good shop in Nor Cal to do this upgrade for me. |

You will need a JL cleansweep
You will need a JL cleansweep or some other kind of
processor or amp/processor to flatten out the head unit output. If you haven't bought anything yet I would get in touch with these guys for a a one stop shopping solution. http://www.musicarnw.com/page-2/ They can sell you a kit with everything needed that plugs into the factory connectors. It comes all setup so no soldering or crimping and little if any adjusting is needed. If you really don't want to replace the underseats I think you might be OK with just the amp and JL Cleansweep. If you want fantastic bass you should replace the underseats though. Last edited by ctuna; 11-05-2011 at 04:51 PM.. |

This is why you need a processor
You can't tune out the factory eq
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ighlight=graph You are very likely to fry the under seats with an amp. Also most shops are not competent on BMW's Last edited by ctuna; 11-05-2011 at 06:31 PM.. |

MS-8 works GREAT with (and only with) L7 speakers. Underseats require external amplification.

What are your thoughts about the following system, in comparison to VP's Stage 1:
Audison Bit Ten sound processor (2) Audio System 8” subs for under seat Focal 100 VRS – front Focal 100 CVX – rear JL Audio XD 700/5 or Alpine PDX-5 If you have a better recommendations I am open to that. I dont want it to be invasive so I am not interested in center console speaker. Do you think tweeters are a must ? |
