Painted my calipers yellow
I ran into a photo of a White 458 Italia w/ red seats and yellow brakes. I was nervous and thought of it for months, but now I finally did it
What you all think? |

I think that yellow brake calipers and red seats suit a Ferrari 458 a lot better than a BMW 3-series. I think the car as a whole is too standard-looking to pull off the yellow. It needs to be lower and more aggressive with non standard wheels or something.

Thank you all ...I used G2 and I'd say a good 3 hours.
Instructions say to lift up the entire car but I did one side first, put the wheels back on, then did the other side. |

I agree with you which is why I was nervous to do it. Then again, everything on a 458 will look better lol. Lowering it and sportier rims would def enhance the look. I'm very happy with the results though. |

Not bad. Car definitely needs a drop though.

I think because wheels are only 18s, the brakes and callipers look proportionate and not too small. So the painting works.
However, i'd go for this color scheme: black or anthracite rims = yellow or bronze calipers, silver rims - red callipers. Although personally I'd paint them body color, black or silver (not to stand out).

Thanks for doing this. It looks good but you need some aggressive features to pull it off. M3 rep skirts, drop, new rims at the least. I will paint mine black.
Also fyi if anyone has the maintenance warranty... this voids the brakes = no more free brake changes.

I asked my SA because I really REALLY wanted to paint my calipers black. He confirmed with his manager that it will give the dealer all the right to void the brakes from the maintenance warranty.
