07 e90 coding out PDC?
Hello,
Is it possible to code out PDC? I had PDC on my original bumper and swapped out to non pdc mtech. It throws this error message on dashboard & idrive everytime I put the car in reverse, kind of annoying. I don't see any pdc related codes on the spreadsheet, any ideas? Only my 4 sensors are removed, module is still there |

You need to remove PDC from your VO. It's not like coding other functions you're probably used to, but it's easy enough and also done with NCS. You'll need to find a list of VO codes and a guide for how to change VO. Let us know if you need more help.

If the bumper is OEM there should be markings on the inside that show where to drill for perfect PDC fit, why not just reuse your old sensors and retain the PDC?

I'll eventually order new ones from ebay and re-connect them. I'll take a look at the VO. Thanks |

I believe $508 is PDC.
So removing $508 for the VO and recoding the car should do the trick. Last edited by Elliott@DetailAddict; 05-10-2012 at 05:52 PM.. |

The VO code for just rear PDC is $507, for front and rear it is $508.
But I believe it will generate the warnings as long as there is the steering device for front and rear. I made the upgrade from only rear to front and rear and as soon as I connected the new steering unit without coding it gave me the warning about the PDC sensors. |

I know this thread is old but a pdc module and camera in my daughter’s 2009 328i to get reverse camera capability for her. I have the sensors but did not want to actually install them. Seems like everything can be controlled with software so CAN THE PDC SENSOR WARNING BE CODED OUT and still keep the reverse camera function?

Hi guys I would like to say I messed up. Iv been trying to reset my CIC as the vin is different to the car. I followed this however now I have a problem with the PDC. It decides to not come on when you put it in reverse for a few seconds, then shows its touching the car behind but in reality it's still 40 cm away. Anyone know how I can sort this.

Just upgraded it in winkfp then restored to factory in NCS. Happy with myself starting to fix something rather than break it. 🤣 |
