Fitment Question: E90 and E92 Exhaust

Will the exhaust of an E90 335i fit on E92 335i?

Thanks

Garage List
Yes, but it will look sunken in because the E92 is longer than the E90.

maybe a little more than 1inch... i did this the other way e92 to e90. fitment was crap on the muffler side and rubbed the bumper cover, but a little $40 fine tuning at an exhaust shop did the trick. basically they cut down the muffler to mid-pipe section since this kit used clamps and cut/rewelded the hangers.

The E92 exhausts are longer and will stick out past the rear bumper valance on the E90. With that being said, if you were to put an E90 system on an E92, the tips would be too short and will be sunken in. Are you looking for any exhaust system in particular?

Is it only the pipe section after the flapper valve that is longer on the e92? This could easily be cut down at a muffler shop?
