Extended Warranty

My warranty is about to expire, should I get an extended warranty plan?

What do you guys recommend?

If so, which one? 2yr? 7yr?

I think the 2yr is about $2K, and the 7 year is close to $4K with a $50 deductible.

I would if your car is visiting the dealership often. But if not then I wouldn't. I'd rather save the money for mods =) or maybe later when something do comes up.

I haven't had any problems whatsoever thus far (knock on wood). Even my HPFP never had an issue, though I still got it replaced during the recall.

I'm sure I would miss the peace of mind without the warranty though.

How long do our turbos usually last before they need to be replaced?

are you talking about extending the powertrain warranty or maintenance warranty? I am in the same boat as well. My factory warranty ends in Decemeber and I talked to the warranty guy at my dealership yesterday.

He told me something like $2100 for extended maintenance for 3 years iirc. and then around $5000 total for both maintenance and Powertrain. As of now, I've decided to pass on the maintenance since honestly I dont believe I drive enough to justify the maintenance. It will either be cheaper or the same for me if I dont get it.

Anyone know which package is worth it for powertrain? There's Powertrain Plus, Gold (Little bit better than PP), and Platinum (covers entertainement/Navi)...I was recommended Platinum since I have the Navi.
