Legal Advice. TX Lemon Law?
I have scanned through the Texas Lemon Law. If you know the specifics in a nut shell please tell me. It stated, after 30 days you have the right to file. It also states that any days you are in a loaner count against the 30 day period. My SM said he can keep the car for 6 months if it is required??? My pump has been out since April 24th. I was at the dealership yesterday. We have no idea when, is what I was told. They had my car opened up, according to the tech,"we are trying to find alternate ways of fixing the pump". Huh....There is a fresh gash on my trunk spoiler, it looks like a cig put itself out on the trunk lid. Uh..we don't know how those happened. The SM said 5 cars were in line, mine is # 2 for the pump. The tech slipped out" uh.. there are alot more than that in here". I want to have a course of action if needed. Any solid legal advice would be greatly appreciated, please other than "go hire yourself a lawyer". My car may be left to a few lug nuts the way I feel about this right now. Thanks.

You should have a walk around inspection sheet from when you dropped your car off to show what if any damage was there previously. Any damage on the car NOT reported on the sheet must be covered by the dealer.
Good luck.

Gonzo,
I know how you feel. Unforunately in texas if they provide a loaner they can keep your car for as long as needed. |

Gonzo,
My car was in the shop for 3-4wks b/c of the fuel pump. I did a lot of research on the lemon law. If they are not giving you a loaner... after 30 days you can file a claim. But if they give you a loaner then the time they take on it does not matter . Mat |

Lawyer up most reputable lemon law attorneys would not charge you win or lose. There is some clause in most state lemon law and the Magnus Moss federal law which makes the manufacturer responsible for all attorney fees. This is no BS i just went thru this 335i on its way......see engine knocking/ticking thread.
