Best Vinyl to wrap this?

Hey all,

I want to add a little color to my otherwise all black interior. I've already wrapped my trim pieces in CF so I thought it might look good to wrap this part of the door panel. My preference would be to wrap it in a suede-like material. However, this part is glued to the panel and attempting to wrap it while on would likely result in total failure. So instead, I've decided to wrap it in red vinyl.

I'd like to know what is the best vinyl for the job. Is all vinyl the same? Is there one brand that stands above the rest?

Yes, I did search but my question is not just what is the best vinyl. My question is what is the best that can be easily removed?

hey Dan, i'll say get some red alcantara to bring the contrast to the interior, it definitely will look hot!

I'd love to but then I must use glue and that's not quite reversible. I've thought of it many times though. One issue is that just below this trim is lighting. In other words, it will just wrap on the top, face, and sides but the bottom will not be covered. That being the case, I have a feeling vinyl will be easier to attach.

i donno, hahahaha, but yea, i have a gallon of those methanol solution at home, everytime i want to clean up the residue left from any kind of adhesive, that works like a charm!

when i peeled my old CF trim wrap, i used them to clean up the trim and also when i redo one part of the alcantara trim, methanol did well and clean up the 3M 80 spotless =)

Most types of alcohol will break down adhesives.
