My order was cancelled

Hi All,

I need good advice. The lease on my 2004 M3 Cab was up on May 1st. I met with my sales rep mid-March to order a e92 and I received a production #363XXXX the end of April for a week 21 build. My sales rep is excellent.

All was well until this past week. As I am sure you are aware, BMW had a glitch in their allocation system and removed 2,000 allocations nationwide.

I contacted my family member who works for BMW NA and is actually one of the people involved in correcting this error and she recommended I contact the dealership.

I spoke to the Sales Manager at the dealership on Tuesday and he said there is nothing he can do for me. The earliest he can get me a car is Nov/Dec.

I then opened a case with BMW NA. He also recommends I try to work with the dealership first, but I can't seem to get anywhere with the Sales Manager,

Here is my problem, BMW Auto Finance will not extend my lease past Nov 1st. In addition, if I wait to get a 2008, the prices may go up and I will have to pay more because of BMW's error OR I may not even be able to get a BMW because I need to turn my M3 in by October 31st.

If BMW did not make the error in the allocation, I would have been given a different allocation that wouldn't have been cancelled. I got unlucky and received a bad allocation and now they are telling me I must pay the price.

What I need is an allocation for a May, June or the latest July 335i coupe. Since I had a week 21 build I should have priority over anyone with a later build date.

I emailed the owner of the dealership yesterday but haven't heard back yet.

Any ideas?

wow I had not heard they cancelled 2k allocations.. what was the reason given?

If I was in your shoes, I would start a nationwide search for a car close to what you ordered.

I just looked on ebay there are a bunch their. Best of luck

Try another dealer that may have some allocations left of June or July?

I can ask my Sales guy if he has any spots left if you want to travel to Chicago for it.

same thing happened to me. have not received a new production # yet and won't know until next week =\

If I was in your shoes, I would start a nationwide search for a car close to what you ordered. I just looked on ebay there are a bunch their.
