Need a good dealership to diagnose my transmission problem HELP

Hello all -

I'm experiencing a very concerning problem with my Steptronic transmission where it intermittently has HARD downshifts and is just absolutely miserable to drive in traffic because it's so jerky and shifts so hard. The issues are exacerbated on cold mornings. The torque converter sometimes locks so hard it snaps my neck.

I've had it to my dealership (BMW of Turnersville, NJ) twice and they, frustratingly, always return the car "unable to replicate" the issue. The car currently has 43k miles on it, and the end of my warranty coverage is in-sight.

Basically I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction to a dealership with a knowledgable and enthusiast-friendly service staff that won't simply brush me off.

I'm located in the Main Line area of PA, which are basically Philadelphia's western suburbs. I'm willing to travel.

Thanks guys.

Try Otto's in West Chester.

If they can't find anything, try Bimmerworks (independent shop).

Why don't you reset transmission adaptations? I've heard it fixes the jerky shifting. I've never had this problem though.

I've done it, and the dealer reset the trans too. Didn't solve the issue.
