Bent wheels

Figured I'd post these up for fun.

Damage was caused by a pothole on gallows road going towards annandale right after the 495/ route 50 exits.

Here's the front wheel no longer holds air, this one is bad, think this is even repairable?

Here's the rear wheel, this one still holds air, seems to be just cosmetic as I don't notice any vibrations or anything while driving on it.

So looks like the place I ordered these from are out of stock of the rear wheels, so I'm forced to get it fixed. Thinking I can just order a new front since it really looks like the damage to it is unrepairable.

For all the taxes I pay to this state, you'd think they'd at least spend some of it to fix these terrible roads we have :/

Don't quote me on this, but I think I've heard something in the past about being able to file a claim with DOT or some other agency for damage caused by stuff like that. Insurance claim is another option if your deductable isn't too high. I don't see a reason why a good wheel repair shop wouldn't be able to fix that though.

VDOT claim is possible but there are conditions to them paying out such as the pothole must have been previously reported and they must have had sufficient time to repair it. Pretty much the only way they pay is if it shows some kind of neglect on their part.

Yep, I'm actually filling a claim today. We'll see where it goes.

Since the wheels are knockoffs getting a new front isn't very expensive. Just need to find a good place to repair the rear since the vendor is out of stock.

Thanks, I already PM'd you before about it.

I'll contact you as soon as I get the time to get the wheel off the car. That way I can drop it off asap, get it fixed and pick it up.

Thanks!

The best way is to actually contact the gentleman I know and send him pics of the wheel that way he can tell you if he can fix them or not.
