Weird issue after un-installing procede - Please help

Kind of a long story, so I'll try to shorten it. Basically I'm having an electrical/ecu issue after having RB Turbos and the Vishnu Methkit installed on my car.

Just got the RB turbos and Vishnu Meth kit installed last week. Car was running fine the first night, the thing screamed like you wouldn't believe. Was brutally fast, with only 15PSI, and 50/50 meth mix. Very fun to drive. I pulled over and shut the car down to fiddle with the Procede settings. Tried to start it again and the car wouldn't start. I think I may have triggered transport mode on accident (but when i turned transport mode off, it didn't fix the problem). Ended up having to get it towed to my house. Removed the procede the next day and it started fine, and once we cleared the codes (I had a BMW tech with diagnostic machine help), it was code free. So I shut it off, put the car back together, and then went to sleep.

Tried to start it the next morning to go to work, and it starts up immediately, but is acting very weird. The car revs constantly to about 2k rpms, and then immediately goes back down to 1k, then back to 2k, really fast. It doesn't respond to any throttle inputs, and there are a bunch of check engine lights on. I opened the ecu back up, and checked each sub-connector to make sure nothing came loose or was disconnected. I can't find anything that looks wrong.

Has anyone had or heard about symptoms like these? I'm starting to think my ECU is messed up, ($$$$ FML). I've been troubleshooting for 3 days now, with no luck. It is getting to the point that I need to tow the car to BMW, with the Meth kit, upgraded turbos, downpipes, intercooler, etc on it, and just pay for them to diagnose and fix the problem, but I'm concerned that they may just refuse to work on it.

Any help or advice on what to do would be greatly appreciated. What should I do in this situation?

First of all open up all the connectors in the ECU again. You may have bent a pin. I'd also check the wiring on that meth kit. Try reinstalling the Procede and doing a firmware and map update. Any codes?

Give us a call tomorrow afternoon and ask for me. I should have some more insight on what you are experiencing.

I ended up speaking with Shiv and he instructed me to check my fuses and to also reset the DME with a scan tool. I didn't have a reader handy, so I just removed the ground wire on the battery for 10 minutes, which resets everything, and voila!

I reinstalled the procede, and now it is only letting me do Map 0 and 1. Which is weird. Anyone have an idea why that would be?

I think i just responded to your email. You accidentally enabled nitrous mode when you did your command center activations. Just turn it off and you'll get all your maps back.

Glad to hear is up and running properly again

I verified that it doesn't seem to be Nitrous mode. I ended up putting my old Rev2 in, so I could send the procede to Vishnu for testing. The only problem is my old Rev2 doesn't have the upgraded turbo maps installed, and my harness doesn't have the serial connector anymore, so I'm stuck with these maps until I get my rev3 back. The car barely makes boost, and then surges hard and erratically. I'm assuming this is because of the stiffer wastegates on the RB Turbos. Can anyone else confirm that these symptoms sound like an issue with having the wrong maps installed. I want to make sure something else isn't wrong.

Shiv - You have mail.

Thanks a ton for the quick tech support. You guys are great.

Wow.....I should have seen your post sooner....!

Your Procede was fine

I my self yesterday started played with the procede command center settings without pretty much knowing WHAT I WAS reseting :/ anyways...I got the exact same thing.

1> Up and down on my RPMS between 1k and 2K very quick
2> DSC light on, amber light on dashboard with triangle (same as TC light)
3> BRAKE Amber light
3> SES Light on

Now I knew it was me that caused that be cause I was messing with my command center, so I didn't bother opening and checking install

I have a 6MT, like you right after the car had started I would step on the gas and ZERO response, none....BUT I decided to give it a try and put the gear into 1st and released the clutch 2 seconds later the RPMS went back to normal 700, And SES was gone.

Car drove fine and produced boost BUT it had one and only setting, RPM would indicate 1 at all times when I tried to change maps, DSC/Amber BRAKE light were on, but not SES...anyways. I drove the car like that for 2 hours.

Same procedure executed when I had to get it moving, engaged 1st gear and eazed off the clutch.

When I got home I downloaded New procede user interface along with 11.1 aggressive maps, loaded 11.1 on the procede and 5 min later it was back to normal....like it had never happened.

Too late though, you shipped it out already???....bummer

P.S
I had the 7-29 maps before updating to 11.1

Best Regards and good luck

Emmanuel
