15mm & 20mm spacers
Hey everyone, so currently I am on stock sports suspension with 17" 161 wheels on my 06' 325i. I recently put up 15mm spacers in the front and 20mm in the rear hoping to widen my car's stance and fill up the fenders and better my car's handling.
I don't drive very hard or abuse my car in any way (only times I slide is in the rain =P). The most I'll every do is push my car enough to enjoy a good canyon run through Mulholland canyon (DCT on; but never goes off; to show how much im pushing the car)... I have yet to prep my car for any auto crossing or track days.. My question is have I worsen my car's suspension setup? I've been reading around and hearing that spacers are more form over function; all they do is just add for that flush car show look.... and that I may be putting extra stress on my bearings. Beside my wheels filling in the fenders and closing the wheel space, are there any positives of having spacers in for handling? I would not like to screw up the geometry of my suspension and have my car drive worse than before... and I'm afraid I have... I want to improve my car's handling the the small ways I can since I can't afford coilovers and such. Thanks for your input!

Anything more than 10mm is a stress on the hub.
