NJ State Police ?

Just wondering, does nj state troopers/police on parkway and other main roads use lidar or radar? if anyone can chime in it would be greatly appreciated.

During my trips down to AC, the cops on the GSP appear to only use Ka. I even caught a cop using X band like 6-7 years ago on that road. Don't know about any other NJ roads though, sorry.

I-95 NJ Turnpike: Definitely use LIDAR. Been doing so for a couple of years. Drive with caution.
Parkway: more likely Ka Band. Some LIDAR as well.

ka if they are facing rear or forwards towards traffic. lidar if its a legit speed trap.

also, they have started doing the old "pacing" bullshit. which i guess you can call the "speedometer"

I'm always paranoid that a cop will know I have a jammer and screw me for the other illegal mods on my car. That's why I haven't invested in one.

I'm already a target because I don't run a front plate.

Its legal. In nj and pa, not sure about ny though. Either way, its also a pdc, so if they still decide to pull you over, switch it off and your clear. Id rather pay $50 for a plate ticket that $1000 for speeding

True but my friend has a jammer and every time a cop tries to hit him, they pull him over anyway because they know they cant lock the speed on their gun.

He got 4 BS tickets last time and only could get 2 dropped. It's just annoying. I just try not to speed.

The best practice on "jammers" is having a disable button where once the officer hits your vehicle you slow down and deactivate the "jammer" then he can get an actual lock and thinks the gun just glitched out

That's smart. Are there systems that come with this switch? Or do we need to just wire in our own?

Escort has this included which is why I will be running the 9500CI on my 1M
To my knowledge only escort has this disabled / de-activate mode others just block.

My SRX saved me many times with this feature

Thanks. Now you just need to worry about slamming on the brakes. lol Otherwise your car will dip and that's an indication that you were speeding.
