Mounting/Dismounting tires on the same rim, possible issues?
How much damage does it do to mount/dismount snow and summer tires twice a year if you only have one set of 18" wheels? I was thinking about getting the Blizzaks WS60 (225/40R18) all-around on my staggered set-up on my 2009 M-Sport.
I know getting a separate set of winter wheels like the 225/45R17 is better. But I prefer to use the 193M OEM 18" rims. Can tires be damaged or experience any performance degradation from being mounted, removed and then remounted? |

It's possible to damage a wheel or tire by mounting and dismounting tires throughout the year, however if done correctly you shouldn't have anything to worry about. I'm pretty sure I've mounted and dismounted my tires at least twice this year, with no issues.
