not sure if aftermarket black grills are available yet for the e92, but get those if you can.
with paint, they'll chip sooner or later, no matter how well you prep them. just from experience on my last bimmer and others i know.

Depends on what you're planning on doing with the rest of the car.
If you plan on having flat black/matte wheels, then I'd say go with a grill to match. However, if you plan on having something that is mostly polished then i say you keep the stock grill. Take into account your 'big picture' and how all the little pieces/mods will complement each other. |

well you see your blacking out your car. so by painting/changing your grille to matte black (flat black) you get that blackout look. consider some nice tints also. unless you have them already. hey, a vorsteiner CF hood would be awesome for you if you do go for that blackout look. Good luck man, and plz post pics!

Naa, keep the chrome bing-age.
It looks dazingly beautiful, especially against the black. Black on black just dims down the "wow" look.

But if you wanted Flat Black grills, you could just buy them from a 325i or 328i owner who doesn't need theirs anymore, I'm pretty sure. I will probably get some chrome grills, since black isn't very flattering imo

chrome looks stock, and flat makes it all look too flat since the slats are flat too.....
i choose glossy, because you have the flat slats. makes the car look that much more aggressive |
