not sure. their friend is a local officer out helping look for it. They were told they have to give it more time, but he's pretty sure its getting chopped up right now at a chop shop

It was just a joke. Seems a bit odd to hear about an m3 getting stolen, normally its civics and what not.

Unfortunately Pierce County has had a pretty big spike in stolen cars lately. It's not too often you see an M3 (or any newer model car) getting taken, but it happens. A Nissan GTR was recently stolen out of Lakewood. Fortunately for the OP, most are joyriders and will leave it when it runs out of gas. There is always a chance it's going to a chop shop, but the recovery rate for stolen cars is very high in that area.

Either way, fingers crossed it's found dumped somewhere...

How did they stole it I wonder? I don't think they'll be able to start the car without a key. I've always thought modern BMW's are impervious to hot wiring. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
