rims

Can 20x10 chrome rims fit on the back without having to modify? And can I go 255/35/20 or even 275/35/20 for the rubber on the back. Car is a 335i sedan.

will 20x10 rims fit? depends on the offset. several people on the boards have been running with 20" rims. do a search. here's one link of a seller:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ighlight=20x10

will a chrome rims fit? no. chrome does not look good on a BMW. also most of the 20" rims out there look a little too big for for the E90...19" is really the sweet spot for the E90.

so if you were to ask if 20x10 chrome rims fit on a E90...i would say no.

+1 on the Chrome. I had Chrome rims on my truck but to be honest just don't think Chrome would look good on your 3. I would go with a Gunmetal grey or Platinum finish. As for a 20 inch rim I also think your just asking for trouble with the condition of the roads around here. Your tire is going to have such a low profile that there will not be enough sidewall to absorb the impact of the pothole. Don't go above 19s...

Bright chrome is just too much for a BMW. Satin chrome is about the most you should go.

I am getting a set of 19" black iForged with polished lips. I am thinking of satin chrome plating the lips soley for the ease of maintenance.

The only cars that can pull chrome off is big body cars (s class, 7 series, m45, bentley, etc.)

Thanks for the info, But I've noticed alot of guys on the forum do not like chrome. But I've seen some cars with chrome, they don't look that bad. But forget that I said chrome but why not 20 inch rims. I'm not looking to race the car so I don't mind that my performance would slip but that is why I have the procede. I do not want to get rims that everybody else has. Although some do look good. Just want to change it up. I also bought the M-sport package with the sedan along with the OEM rear deck spoiler plus the blacklines tail lights. I just need rims to go with it. But I want 20's

You can do your own M-Sport, more or less, starting from a car that has sport package:

M-Tech Aero Kit (Not the normal aero kit currently available from dealer. Its the OEM M-Tech kit, like the one about to be available from MW Design in Vancouver) http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57048
M steering wheel and shift knobs
Aluminum pedal kit and dead pedal
M wheels
M door sills (if there are such things)

So for about $6-7K your are more or less there.

Did I miss anything else?

You will also need the different headliner and shadowline trims.

The kit that MW design will offer I believe is for the E92 and E93, the OP is talking about the E90 here.

Make sure you get an extra set of them cause I think you're going to have issues with bent rims...

how come people expect 20's to bend so easily? ive been running mine for 1 1/2 years now and have absolutely no issues. its not because im lucky, its because im careful. 20's do not mean a bend. if anything, ive seen more 18's and 19's bend in proportion when compared to 20's....
