My roommate has decided he wants to move out of our current apartment at or before the end of our lease. Although I like this complex a lot (included Gym, garage parking, storage area for my car stuff, the works), it would not be budget smart for me to stay here. I'm in a position to 1) find a roommate or 2) find a new place to live.

So this post is multifaceted...
1) Anyone know of someone who's looking for a roommate or a place to stay? Lease and utilities are around $1280 a month, parking included, in a roommate style apartment and metro accessible.
2) If I can't find a someone to take the room by first week of January, I am forced to find a new place to live. Does anyone have recommendations of apartment complexes in the DMV that's not to far from Rockville Town Center (my work). Garage was a preference, but I can't seem to find anything budget smart that has a guaranteed garage space.
3) For those who keeps their BMWs outside, how do you keep them clean or protected from ice and snow? One benefit about living in a neighborhood or garage style complex is that you can wash your car properly. But the winters scare me. Suggestions on keeping the paint looking good through winter?

Thanks to all in advance.

Seal as in waxing? I already waxed her in October. My lease isn't up until February... so at worst, 1 1/2 months of winter weather.

If your lease is up in February, why would you bother keeping up with the paint..?

If you're turning in your lease in less than 2 months, why bother investing in the paint if you'll just get a new car? I just wouldn't bother with it..

I read that the same way. As far as the car cover, I would definitely not recommend covering the car if it's sitting outside.

I protect my car in the winter time by just applying a good wax job before sand hits the roads, that should protect it. Snow or ice wont hurt the car. Then again, when half an inch of snow of the ground I refuse to drive anywhere, mostly because my car wont leave my driveway

Any suggestions on places to live around MoCo? I would like to live alone but may not be a good idea fiscally.
