I've heard alot of good things but never been out that way.

However, might it be wise to be a little more discreet about this?

I guess I should have mentioned that I'm not under warranty and it's not like he looked the other way, he just never turned away business. I'm not saying he broke any rules for the record.

it may be too far for you but I highly recommend Timo at Patrick BMW in Schaumburg. I was worried going to the dealer with mods, but no problems here, he always takes care of me

Oh wow didn't know that. Bummer.

I've heard good things about Laurel, I'll probably head over that way now. It's closer to me anyway.

EDIT: Yeah Eric seems to be a good guy too, only did "business" with him once. Brett's good too.

Since I hit the curb pretty bad, and he's always pretty straightforward I believed him. He quoted me 8 grand for the repair, so I called VS motorsports, they quoted me around 2k, but he said he doubts the subframes can bend, I take it there the car gets aligned, and driving perfectly! They did measurements and everything was ok. I took it to patrick bmw about 1000 miles late to get the alignment checked one time, and told him what happened how I had taken it to laurel. The tech said that everything was in perfect alignment and he did all the measurements too, everything was fine.

I put 9k miles on after that with no issues.

Laurel sucks, but really what dealer is that good?

Its not the service adviser who checks the car just saying. The techs told him and hes telling you. Never had an issue with laurel. My buddy took his e46 m3 with the subframe recall and bill jacobs totally denied him saying are you kidding me do you know how old the car is and blah blah but in reality the sub frame recall was still intact. Instead of contacting BMW NA he took it to Laurel and they took it with no problems and didn't question it. Moral of the story is dont ever get SMG haha
