What\'s up. Unfortunately I need to install an ignition interlock device on my 2007 335i coupe and I was wondering will this mess up anything? Thanks

Garage List
you have to put headlight fluid in the headlights to avoid the interlock from getting jacked up. go to kragen autoparts and ask them if they have it. should be easy to find there.

Used to monitor someone that has a DWI. Prevents them from driving the car while drunk. This device is issued by the courts if you want to continue to drive

Yikes, sounds like you have more than one addiction. I have no idea how they work, but if they cut power to the ignition, you can have it jack into the green connector with orange wires to kill power to the ignition/DME. It will throw codes if you fail the interlock then try to turn the ignition on. You must have the interlock release the lockout, then turn the ignition on. But I have no idea how they actually work or are installed.

Good luck with that. My advice would be to stop drinking entirely.

The first sentence in your post is probably spot on making the last sentence gratuitous. As for the last sentence; if it were only that easy...

I didn't mean it to sound preachy or condescending, just empathetic.

I apologize, I lived (past tense) with someone fighting addictions. Touchy subject for me. Again, my apologies.

I was 17 when it happened, glad I learned at an early age that drinking is not worth it.
