Did my first oil change

And it is EASY PEASY on the Bimmer. Such a mess on the honda, but those germans were cookin something good when they designed it.

Wait till you need to change your starter motor. Its a PITA and requires removal of everything above the intake manifold, including the manifold itself.

agreed it was easy... but how do you prevent the oil from splashing all over the place when it hits the oil catch pan... shit splashed everywhere when i changed it...

I have a wide catch can and I put under it those metal pans to keep everything off my painted/sealed garage floor.

Put a small block of wood under the pan and tilt it so the bottom of the pan is at an angle and not flat.
